SEO copywriting review.
Edit for the question the page promises to answer.

SEO copywriting connects a search question with a useful page. This review worksheet focuses on the answer, its evidence and the next step. It can be used on a service page or guide without inventing results or repeating a keyword in every heading.

01

Write a one-sentence promise

Before editing, finish this sentence: after reading, this person can decide or do what? Compare that promise with the current title and opening paragraph. If the page claims to explain an audit scope but begins with generic marketing language, replace the opening with the specific decision and the information needed to make it.

  • Name the intended reader
  • State the page boundary
  • Remove promises the body cannot satisfy
02

Replace vague claims with concrete information

Consider this invented draft: Our amazing audits transform every website. A more useful version is: The audit brief defines the URL sample, findings format and implementation handoff. The second sentence explains what to ask about without claiming an unverified result. Request evidence for any testimonial, numerical improvement or specialist credential before including it.

  • Mark hypothetical examples clearly
  • Describe deliverables accurately
  • Remove unsupported guarantees
03

Give headings distinct jobs

Outline the page without reading the paragraphs. Each heading should identify a real part of the answer: inputs, process, example, limits or next action. Merge sections that say the same thing. Keep terms readers use when they improve clarity, but do not force an awkward keyword variant into otherwise natural English.

  • Check the outline in reading order
  • Use one main page heading
  • Keep supporting detail near its claim
04

Make examples usable

A reader should be able to apply an example to their own situation. Show the inputs, the decision and the reason for that decision. A before-and-after paragraph, a sample acceptance criterion or a short checklist can help. Do not label an invented illustration as a customer outcome or imply that a worksheet is a live tool.

  • Explain the assumptions
  • Include the edge case that changes the decision
  • Keep examples consistent with the main answer
05

Connect the next step to the page

Use related links where a reader needs another explanation, and make the conversion action specific. A consultation request should explain what information to bring; it should not imply that clicking a link submits a form. Review the destination as well as the anchor so the page does not promise something the next screen cannot deliver.

  • Check each internal destination
  • Keep inquiry and submission distinct
  • Avoid unrelated promotional interruptions
06

Verify the published copy

After release, compare the live title, description, H1 and main text with the reviewed draft. Check punctuation, truncation caused by layout and readability on a narrow screen when browser access is available. Record the release and any remaining review limitation. Search visibility and inquiries need their own authorized measurement rather than an editorial completion label.

  • Read the initial HTML answer
  • Confirm approved claims survived the build
  • Record the exact public URL
