Add a business to Apple Maps. Prepare one accurate location record before submitting it.
Apple provides a business-management service for managing how a business appears across Maps and other Apple experiences. Adding a place involves more than entering a name. Start with the actual location, existing place record and authorized business representative, then follow Apple’s current location and verification workflow.
01
Search for the existing place first
Look for the business name and real address in Maps before starting another location record. An existing place may need to be claimed or corrected rather than recreated. Record the place link and any mismatched information so the person handling the request can explain which business and location they intend to manage.
Check name and address together
Keep the existing place link
Avoid a duplicate record as a shortcut
02
Prepare accurate business details
Assemble the real business name, address, contact information, website and customer-facing hours for this location. Have the business representative verify those facts before submission. This preparation sheet is useful even if the platform requests fields in another order; it prevents a marketer from filling unknown information with guesses merely to finish a form.
Name the factual approver
Check the location-specific website destination
Label information that still needs confirmation
03
Use Apple’s current business workflow
Start from Apple’s official business-management entry point and its linked help for adding or managing a location. Use an account authorized for the business and choose the appropriate existing-place or new-location route. Interface names and available verification steps can change, so use the current instructions shown for the account rather than relying on an old screenshot.
Use the official entry point
Confirm the organization in use
Choose claim, correction or addition deliberately
04
Check the map position and public assets
Review the address and pin against the actual building and customer entrance. Prepare suitable business images that the organization has permission to publish, and check what each image represents. Accurate location information helps someone find the place; a polished image cannot compensate for a pin or opening hour that sends them to the wrong destination.
Review the entrance with the business
Use approved images
Keep hours tied to the real location
05
Track verification and review separately
Complete the verification or ownership steps Apple offers for that location and keep the resulting status with the request. A submitted record, an approved organization and an updated public place card are distinct milestones. If another organization manages the place, follow Apple’s ownership or transfer process rather than assuming a second record will solve the conflict.
Record the status actually shown
Identify who can complete verification
Do not promise a review deadline
06
Inspect the published place card
After processing, open the public Maps result and compare its name, address, pin, contact route and hours with the approved preparation sheet. Log any remaining difference and route it to the appropriate account owner or support process. Completion means the observed place record is accurate; it does not establish increased visits or search visibility.
